Botswana Adventure Trail en Safari

Het moest er van komen, succesvolle producten worden gekopieerd. De “Botswana Adventure Trail en Botswana Adventure Safari”. Dat is op zich niet erg en vreemd maar op het moment dat het misleidend wordt mag je ja afvragen of een bedrijf en persoon die daar mee bezig zijn wel echt oprecht zijn? Kiest u voor een eerlijk product of het niet integere bedrog van een ander? Het antwoord is aan u de reiziger.

Zie hier de Botswana Adventure Trail en Safari, een mooie en zeer complete kampeersafari reis door Botswana. Een reis welke uniek is en uitgezet is door Tongasabi Safaris en Safari Brothers in Zuid-Afrika. In 2004 zijn wij gestart met de Botswana Adventure Trail en sinds kort wordt er onder deze naam ook een veel goedkopere Botswana Adventure Trail aangeboden op de Nederlandse markt. Het is echter niet dezelfde Botswana reis, dat kan natuurlijk ook helemaal niet want alle waar is naar zijn geld.

Zoek je als reiziger een Botswana Safari let dan goed op wat je aangeboden wordt. Helaas zijn er bedrijven die graag op een niet oprechte wijze en niet integer een graantje mee pikken op het succes van anderen.

De belangrijkste verschillen voor de Botswana Adventure Trail en Safari zijn o.a.:

- bezoek aan Mapugubwe National Park
- bezoek aan het Central Kalahari Game Reserve
- bezoek aan het Nxai Pan National Park
- bezoek aan het bijzondere Kubu Island in de Makgadikgadi Zoutpannen van Botswana

Al deze activiteiten en bestemmingen maken geen onderdeel uit v an de misleidende Botswana Adventure Trail reisaanbieding. Let dus goed op bij het vergelijken van de verschillende reisaanbiedingen of bovenstaande onderdelen deel uit maken van de reis route. Het is dan vrij eenvoudig de juiste keuze te maken en het kaf van het koren te scheiden!

New Botswana Safaris

Just published some new Botswana Safaris on the Dutch Tongasabi website. Four small group safaris and one lodge safari. All great itineraries! The small group safaris are a good alternative to the more expensive (private) lodge tours. Prices starting at Euro 975 + US$ 300 local payment for the 10 days classic Botswana safari. Botswana is a must do safari destination. Most interesting areas are the Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park and the Moremi Game Reseverve. Kubu Island

Kubu Island (Makgadikgadi Salt Pans) Botswana, it’s one of the most beautiful places in Botswana. This rocky outcrop int the middle of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans covered with surrealistic Baobab trees should be visited by everybody travelling 2 Botswana! If you are keen to read more about the Kalahari Desert and the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans just read the book ‘Kalahari Life’s variety in dune and delta’ by Michael Main. Although the book is a little bit ‘old’ (first published back in 1987) it does supply you with very interesting info on the pans and the way the were created millions of years ago! e.g. the water now poring down the Victoria Falls once filled up the Kalahari! The salt pans being the last bit drying up.

Botswana break downs 1995

Just some good old Botswana Land Rover pictures! It’s my Series Land Rover on the Maun 2 Sepupa road, the wheel almost came off! Probably a loose wheel bearing causing the hub to over heat and break the axle shaft. But within 24 hours back on the road with 2nd hand replacement parts! As you can see on the first image I did cut off the 2nd door (1st door can be divided as standard on a Series Landy) to increase visibility for the 2nd row passengers.

The third image is another break down, all rear spring blades broken! It did happen in Chobe National Park, Botswana. As a bush repair I did use the ground anchor and some straps to secure the rear axle. This repair did last all the way from Chobe National Park to my base in Harare (Zimbabwe).

Lion Images – Botswana (Moremi Game Reserve)

Some nice lion pictures taken at the Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana. This big male lion walked by the Land Rover a couple of times at less than 3 meter! Check the wounded and torn lower lip. Both lionesses started roaring, calling for their mates!
